This is the Kahoot model, and it is the only login a ten-year-old completes without help. There is no email address to type, no password to lose over the summer, and nothing for you to set up per student beyond their name.
You read the code off the board. The student types it once — the browser remembers it, so next lesson they skip this step.
Names come from the register you already entered, so the student taps their own instead of spelling it. No typos, no duplicate accounts.
They choose it the first time and use it after that. That is the account — created, at that moment, without an email address ever being involved.
At home the same student signs in with their login name and PIN, no class code needed.
The architecture is the reason this is straightforward: we never collect a student email address, we run no advertising of any kind, and everything sits on our own servers in Germany.
When a school uses the classroom, we act strictly on the school’s instructions as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR — the school official role FERPA expects. We provide a data processing agreement before you use it in a lesson; just ask.
A student account is a name from your register plus a PIN they choose. No email, no password reset flow, no phone number, no home address — so there is very little about a child for us to hold in the first place.
The site, the database and the audio service run on our own machines at Hetzner in Germany under an Art. 28 agreement. There is no external analytics server holding your students’ work.
The moment a student signs in, analytics is switched off for their entire session — no Google Analytics, no product analytics, no session recording, no cookie banner to mislead them into agreeing. It is not a setting they or you have to find: it is enforced in the code, and any analytics left on a shared classroom device by an earlier session is cleared when they log in.
No ad networks, no tracking pixels, no social media plugins, and fonts served from our own server. Student data is never sold, never used for behavioural advertising, and never used to train models.
AI features can be disabled for a whole class from the dashboard. When they are off, nothing leaves our servers for an AI provider for that class at all.
Our privacy policy names every processor, every legal basis and every retention period, including a section on exactly how the classroom works. Read it before you talk to your DPO.

Then they shape it: pitch it deeper, add reverb or echo, a telephone filter, or a one-click pack like Space Rap. It turns a writing task into something a class will actually play out loud, and the effects give a self-conscious student somewhere to stand while they get used to hearing their own voice.
Every sound on the grid has its own effects panel behind the gear icon: reverb for space, a filter to open or close it, delay for echo, distortion for grit, swing to loosen the timing. Because it is one instrument at a time, a student hears exactly what one control does — which is the fastest way to teach the vocabulary, and it turns "make it sound further away" into a task with a right answer.
