1. Payment Processing
Payments on Make a Beat are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Limited (Ireland) as our payment service provider. Make a Beat is the legal seller and your contractual partner for the purchase. Stripe is not the seller — Stripe’s terms apply only to the payment service itself.
Small business notice (§ 19 UStG): Pursuant to § 19 of the German VAT Act, no value-added tax is charged. Listed prices are final.
2. One-time Purchases
Studio Pro is sold as a one-time payment for lifetime access. There are no recurring subscriptions or automatic renewals.
If you believe a charge was made in error (for example, a duplicate charge), please contact us within 14 days and we will investigate.
3. Credits
Credits added to your account through a purchase do not expire while your account exists.
Because credits represent immediately usable digital content, they are generally non-refundable once any credit has been consumed (e.g. once a sound has been generated).
If no credits from a purchase have been used, you may request a refund within 14 days by contacting us.
4. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)
EU consumers have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital content under § 312g BGB.
Expiry of the right of withdrawal (§ 356 (5) BGB): By clicking "Pay" on the Stripe Checkout page you (a) expressly consent that we begin providing the digital content before the 14-day withdrawal period expires, and (b) acknowledge that your right of withdrawal lapses as soon as performance begins (i.e., the moment your account is upgraded or the first credit is added).
If you have not yet used any portion of the digital content and the 14-day period has not ended, your right of withdrawal remains unaffected. Email us to exercise it.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email us at contact@make-a-beat.com with your order details (the receipt email from Stripe contains a transaction ID — including it speeds processing). We respond within 2 business days.
If we approve your refund, we process it immediately via the Stripe Dashboard. The refunded amount appears on the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
There is no self-service refund portal — all refund requests go through us directly.
6. Chargebacks
We strongly prefer to resolve any issue directly with you before you initiate a chargeback through your bank or card issuer. Chargebacks generate fees and disputes that are costly for everyone. If you have a problem, email us first — we want to make it right.
If a chargeback is initiated before contacting us, we will pause your account access until the dispute is resolved.
